I'm an independent writer-illustrator based in South Wales. With a background in cultural heritage, I'm a specialist in the development of gallery interpretation, learning resources, trails and co-created, community arts projects. I'm used to researching, writing, illustrating and designing products for clients as well as developing and delivering participatory arts projects for schools, families, community groups and adults. I'm friendly and professional, a member of the Association of Illustrators (AOI) and used to delivering high quality work to deadline.
Inspired by the tradition of fairytales and fables, my practice focuses on wellbeing, natural heritage, environmental and cultural heritage themes. Inspiration for my children’s illustrations is derived from my botanical illustration studies, another part of my practice. Focusing on kindness to people and the planet, I aim to create pictures and stories that help us make sense of the world, ponder a topic, change an attitude, reflect and smile.
