OUR SCHOOL!
Roots to Heritage

As part of our National Lottery Heritage Funded project, Year 4 pupils have been interviewing ex-pupils about their memories of childhood and going to our school.

Corinne Mabley began school in 1937, two years before the outbreak of World War Two.
Here, Corinne recalls a memory about rations.
Above: Details of pages from one a ration book belonging to Corinne Mabley's mother, dated 1953 - 1954. Food rationing continued after the war and officially ended on 4 July 1954, with meat being the last item to be removed from rationing.
